THE ANĀMAYA

Collection

We set out to create a collection reflective of a journey through many parts of India. A true portrayal of Indian heritage textiles, handcraft and tradition. More than this, we wanted to deliver a product that restored our belief in meaningful merchandise.

An authentic experience for us and the consumer. Garments that are timeless in design, luxurious, unique in every way, with a focus on quality. Each piece in this collection tells a story of a heritage handcraft, the lineage of an artisan, the sense of pride and belonging that comes with tradition and culture.

We are so happy to share these stories with you. With each garment purchased and worn, the story develops and continues.

THE ANĀMAYA JACKETS

THE AVAŚA

Meaning

Independent, unrestrained and free

Design philosophy

‘Statement’ is the defining characteristic of the Avaśa.

Accentuated sleeves gathered, tucked and puffed create a unique effect.

An open front cocktail jacket with no fastenings or closures, she portrays confidence in her movement.

Lined in luxurious pure habotai silk, the Avaśa offers versatility. She can be worn with jeans, faux leather leggings, skirts or over dresses. Style her up or down as you wish!

THE TULĀ

Meaning

Simply meaning Balance

Design philosophy

Kimono inspired, of flow and balance, this design is a contrast between sharp lines and swan-like movement.

Paying attention to subtle details, the angular cut sleeves have pleats running down the centre, adding to her flare. Both aesthetically pleasing and functional, you will find a half nehru collar at the back. Unique in styling, this also serves to hold the deep cut front in place.

She is synched together at the waist with an extra length tie, enabling the wearer to create an accentuated bow or double wrap around.

Both the kimono style jacket and waist tie are lined in pure habotai silk of a contrasting colour to that of the outer fabric.

Featherlight in all fabric choices, with no zips or buttons, the Tulā is the perfect companion on a warm summer’s day.

THE VINYĀSA

Meaning

Movement

Design philosophy

Designed along the lines of a box shaped swing coat, the Vinyāsa is trendy chic with a dose of loveliness in every element.

As her name suggests we have strung together several thoughtful details creating a rhythm of movement in sync with the body.

From our unique take on angel cut sleeves, allowing contrasting lining and borders to be revealed as you move. To an inverted pleat centred at the back, opening with flare with each swing of the arms, she is a dramatic composition of design elements.

With a cross-over front panel, secured with a fabric covered button and rouleau loop, she can be worn on her own over a high waisted skirt/trouser or even layered over a dress.

Although rich in fabric and design aesthetic, the Vinyāsa is feather-light, ideal for layering.

THE EKA

Meaning

Single of its kind, unique

Design philosophy

Our only oversized coat in the collection, Eka is effortlessly stylish exuding her own splendour and charm.

Unequivocally unique, she boasts a wide A-cut, with bell type sleeves and bordered sleeve folds for impact. A rounded neckline with a circle cut front, gently clasped together with hook and eyes. Accentuating the neckline is a higher back collar which tapers towards the front. She also has slanted side pockets and a back slit for ease of movement.

A further design element, depending on the fabric design, some of the pieces have contrasting pocket flaps and back tabs sewn in.

She can be worn on her own with a belt around the waist, over dresses, sarees, jeans, skirts – you name it – she’ll adapt to your personal style.

THE DHĪRA

Meaning

Intelligent, Wise, Skilful

Design philosophy

Our Dhīra has a skilfully tailored silhouette. Strategically placed darts and seams ensure fit and form. With a distinct collar feature and deep side slits, she contours giving shape to the body.

She is secured at the waist only, with bespoke hook and eye fastenings. A subtle feature, she can be worn open as well.

Pair the Dhīra with jeans/leggings, over a long skirt or dress, or even on her own as a dress coat.

She is versatile, on-trend and ever-so-flattering.
